First church service at Cuidad Refugio:

Here is what I wrote in my journal during the service because it was all in Spanish hahaha.

The faith in this room is strong. The passion these people have for the Lord isn’t trendy Christianity, It’s real and true. There’s such a wide range of people. Men from the program, women from the program, people who have graduated from it, those who work here, people who call this church home, missionaries, and my favorite- the first timers.

There’s one man here that we played hacky sack in the park with on Wednesday. He showed up here last night wanting to talk and know more about this place and Jesus.

He asked questions like,

“How do I trust that I’m on the right path for my life?”

“Why do you follow Jesus?”

“I smoke weed everyday. Do I have to stop that?”

Real questions that I’m sure we have all asked at least one at some point in our lives. He’s at church right now with a huge smile on his face. Incredible. Thank you, Jesus.
