Hi!! I’m so happy you’re reading this and want to know more about my journey with the Lord and where He is taking me next summer. To start, I’d like to tell you about World Race and how I became involved. World Race is a ministry that has short and long-term missions. Their goal is to share the love of Jesus and serve others around the world. I learned of this ministry through one of my sorority sisters and was immediately intrigued.  I began looking at all of the missions they had to choose from to see which one would be the best fit for me. I decided to apply for the month-long trip to Jaco, Costa Rica and after talking with many leaders within World Race and having lots of prayer over this, I was accepted (yay!!).

What will I be doing in Jaco? During my time there I will be helping with improvement projects, spending time with the children and teaching them to surf, spending lots of time in prayer, painting murals, and most importantly connecting with the Jaco community to share God’s love and who He is. I will also be building relationships and long-term friendships with my team members who I am soexcited to meet.

As excited as I am for this trip, I’m nervous too.  I have been on many mission trips with my church family during high school, but I have never been on a month-long mission trip or even out of the country! This will be completely new territory for me, but I’m very expectant for all the Lord will teach me during my time preparing and while I am there.

This trip won’t be easy or glamourous and that is exactly why I want to go. I love the idea of immersing myself in a new culture, forming new friendships, and being called out of my comfort zone and into new experiences. My prayer walking into this journey is that God will lead me with an open heart and guide me to put Him before myself in every situation. I ask for your prayers, thoughts, and support as I prepare for Jaco. A huge part of preparing for this trip will be raising money for the cost. My goal is to raise $3,550. I would love your support, whether it’s through prayer, donation, or just sending a good vibe my way:). As the trip gets closer I will be posting more updates about what the Lord is teaching me, about my walk with the Him, and how I’m preparing. I hope you follow along as I would love for you to experience this with me and I thank you in advance for your support! Thanks for reading:)
